My work is inspired by nature and landscape. I seek a sense of partnership with the natural materials I use. I alter these materials (adobe, tree branches, etc.) while striving to retain their unique characteristics.

As an artist, I am concerned with the traditional issues of form, color, line and texture. I use a vocabulary of objects and images that take on different aspects depending on their context. I combine the languages of art and nature to reflect the transient and fragile qualities of life and landscape forms.
