My work is a cross between painting and sculpture. The pieces often begin with very loose line drawings that I refine through a series of steps including the translation to wooden shapes. They represent landscapes, both physical and psychological. My goal is to first draw the viewer into experiencing a beautiful object and then have the viewer continue to be involved as the piece reveals more of itself to them. It is my hope that as they bring their own interpretations to the experience, the viewer will be involved with the pieces on many levels.
