As an artist, I have taken on the task of sorting and re-arranging information. Using process and experimentation as a starting point, my work investigates the desire to create order out of chaos. I borrow freely from the history of painting in order to fuse together disparate elements. Much of the work is autobiographical in the sense that it reflects a response to, and filtration of, events and memories that make up each day. Inherent in the work is an implication of lack, suggestive of a frustrated narrative. Ambiguity is intentional and the payoff in viewing the works is not necessarily derived from an immediate understanding of the final product, but from the process of looking, in and of itself.
