I am interested in eschewing the traditional nature of painting by pushing it beyond the common substrates of canvas and panel and onto unusual surfaces; and to utilize unconventional and uncommon painting methods and techniques to achieve my objective. Specifically, I use transparent, borderless supports for the purpose of putting the viewer's attention solely on the painting sans distractions. I also pour the paint instead of using brushes or palette knives.
