Artist Statement
Liar
Burnt Feet
Coming from the tradition of still life, I have long been interested in exploring the narrative implied by vernacular objects and their placement in space. The play of light grounds the characters in reality, while shadows provide complementary images. Pinocchio provides a stand-in, onto which one projects various states of human experience. The viewer finishes each piece, participating by interpreting the multiple readings of the work.
