Mimic 1

MIMIC is a series of paintings that explore pattern relationships. Specifically, the way patterns change and repeat themselves. The paintings are composed of collage, paint, and wood grains. All three materials are different, yet, they must coexist in order to complete the painted image. Thus, each area of a painting transforms itself to mimic another area in an effort to create a whole image.
